Hinomigama

Established in 1988 in the heart of Shigaraki, Hinomigama is a wood-firing kiln founded by Fujito Matsuo. Working entirely by hand with the region's characteristically coarse, feldspar-rich clay, the kiln produces tableware where natural ash glazes and flame markings emerge through firing rather than applied decoration.
