Steeped in the rich natural beauty of Fukushima Prefecture, Aizu-Wakamatsu City stands as the vibrant heart of the Aizu region. This charming castle town, crowned by the majestic red-tiled Tsurugajo Castle, is a treasure trove of history. Here, amidst this backdrop steeped in history, resides Fukunishi-Sobe Shoten, a fourth-generation lacquerware manufacturer and wholesaler with a remarkable 100-year legacy. 

Established in 1919 by Sobe Fukunishi I, who branched from the long-established Fukunishi Honke family, the shop has proudly carried the torch of Aizu lacquerware for over a century.
